All four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. accept ACT scores. ACT scores are often used for admissions purposes and scholarship determinations. It is highly recommended that juniors and seniors planning on continuing their education after earning a high school diploma take the ACT multiple times to achieve their highest score. Similarly, the SAT
is used by colleges and universities for admission determinations and is accepted by all colleges and universities. It contains sections in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. Students wanting to maximize their ACT and/or SAT scores can also enroll in the dual credit course College Prep Skills for High School Students at Ilisaġvik College. The class runs from Jan. 19th thru April 28th and students who successfully complete the course earn 2 college credits and .36 HS credit.
